Blog 1 2012

2012 The year we have all been waiting for, the year everything changes.

2011 will be known as the year of the protester, the year the silent majority found their voice, the year the Arab Spring turned into the Occupy movement and the world saw the first rise of the multitude.

We are inventing the New World—a creation of the children of the Internet, social networks and post-modernism. As an individual in this multitude, that is diverse but not singular, I get to chip in. There is no one answer but here are some thoughts and ideas for your consideration...

My new year's resolution is to blog, to record history as it happens, to make the ephemeral permanent and thus help shape our perceived reality—in other words to write and share more stories.

By the way, this is my voice, one of the many, affiliated to none and all—no need for disclaimers if we can agree that everything is subjective. La Lucha Space has thankfully outgrown its original founders and has been brewing into an activist platform, information bunker, media outlet and crash pad concoction. My role as an individual has amalgamated out of the stew and I've alloted myself this space to share my voice and point of view.

I'll be keeping you updated with the happenings at the Space and out in the community, plus a personal about the world rant every once in a while. First off, I want to tell you about the latest events coming up in our community:

"Occupy as One"

Group Meditation at thhe District Court Building (810 Parkway Street, Conway) EVERY Tuesday from 12:30 to 1pm. Starting January 3rd, this should be a great time to get in touch with the spirit of our city and our democracy. City Council just so happens to meet on Tuesday afternoons so we can definitely put out some good vibes~!

Facilitated by Pamela Mosley, of Occupy as one she says:

" Entering the stillness of unlimited potential together! All are welcome to this time and place to show up as our expanded selves, beyond ideologies, desiring the common good in a sustainable world that works for all. No food allowed in the courtroom, spiritual nourishment only. ;-)  "

(City Major Approved! thank you Conway)
